Semi Final - Away Leg Shakhtar Donetsk

The next part of our European adventure sees us take on Ukranian team Shakhtar Donetsk who currently sit in second place in their league.

This match is due to be played at  the Henryk Reyman Municipal Stadium, also known for sponsorship reasons as Synerise Arena on

 Thursday 30th April 21:00 (CEST) / 20:00 KO (GMT).

Tickets

We understand that Crystal Palace have been allocated 2,000 tickets, which have now sold out,   but we are aware that a significant number of Palace fans have also purchased tickets direct from Shakhtar Donetsk and the expectation is that around 5,000 Palace fans will be in Krakow.

Follow @CPISAinfo on Twitter for supporter info and matchday updates.

Getting to the Henryk Reyman Municipal Stadium

The stadium is only a 20 minute walk from the city centre so walkable for the majority of supporters but there are also trams and buses from the city centre which stop directly outside the stadium.

  At the Stadium

Away supporters generally are allocated tickets in one corner of the ground.

We have been advised that it is likely no alcohol will be for sale in the ground.  Pyros are of course banned and carry a hefty fine if you're caught with them or identified using them.

CPFC staff will be in Krakow if you need assistance over there and you can contact Nikki Gibbons, CPFC’s Head of Supporter Services on 07345 703244.

Please feel free to share this info with other Palace fans who may need help.

In and around Krakow

Our local man on the ground has provided the following info.

"General indications for where to go and not go, I think you should feel very welcome in Kraków. The days when there were no-go areas or high-risk districts are thankfully gone. All of the old town, Jewish quarter (Kazimierz) or the other bank of Vistula (Podgórze) are very safe these days.

That said, if you want to wear your colours in public, I’d suggest keeping in pairs at least, groups preferably. As I’m sure you intend to. Because of your club’s reputation there might be some who will look for confrontation and they’d be looking for people who stray away from the group. If you guys keep in the interesting parts of town, it should be perfect. Aside from the absurd prices…

Speaking of, be wary of gogo clubs and strip joints. They have promoters aggressively inviting people inside to then force one to pay as much as possible for services one might not be aware have a hefty price. Very shady but a plague in recent years. Regular pubs and restaurants should be very happy to have you.

Just remember that drinking in public, aside from designated areas, is illegal, and police will enforce this, and it’s a £100 fine these days. "

Other info

Beer is around £2.25 per pint so very cost effective!  Whilst Krakow is considered relatively safe if you stick to the designated areas please consider taking sensible precautions to ensure your own  safety.  Stick to the designated away friendly zones and move around the area and to and from the ground with other fans.

If you're extending your trip to Krakow, here are a few links that provide things to see and do locally that may be useful for you
